The FA Youth Cup has kicked off this week, and to get you in the mood for what is sure to be another season of tremendous football from a wide range of young teams we bring you the video of last season's final.

Last season was a truly superb season with a number of incredible stories on the path to The Final, with Brighton shocking Blackburn and Chelsea on their courageous run, Man City showing just what quality Stuart Pearce will have to call upon in the coming seasons, Newcastle and Man Utd contributing some spectacular goals and Liverpool lifting the trophy for the first time in ten years.

#There were six ties on Monday evening and there are a further three tonight as a number of sides look to make it through the Preliminary Round of the competition.

Witton Albion came away from Northwich Victoria with a superb 3-2 victory in front of the biggest crowd of the evening, while Waltham Abbey were taken all the way to a shootout by Corinthian Casuals but triumphed in the end 5-4.

Croydon progressed thanks to a 2-0 win over Eastbourne Borough, Diss Town defeated Kirkley and Stourbridge also made it through at the expense of Whetstone Athletic.

Tonight sees Cogenhoe United play Tring Athletic, Long Buckby travel to Bugbrooke St Michaels and Beaconsfield SYCOB play host to Bracknell Town.
