Following his starring role in Brighton's fantastic extra-time triumph over Blackburn at Ewood Park, we caught up with Joe the morning after to get his thoughts on a cracking night of football.
"I'm a bit tired and achy but I'm just happy that we got through. The main thing about Cup football is getting through to the next round," he told us.
"It was difficult because of the surroundings, it was quite new to most of the players. They might have been a little overwhelmed and because of that we didn't play as well as we could.
"Playing in a big ground like Ewood Park is something really special and this is the competition that has given us the chance.
When asked about the FA Youth Cup video appearing on TheFA.com Joe said: "It is always good for people to be able to watch The FA Youth Cup, I think it's great that you can watch it on the website - that way more people can see just how good it it.
"It's a very special competition for everyone who plays in it, every youth team player's dream is to win The FA Youth Cup, to walk out at the top grounds and compete at the highest level.
"Beating the top clubs in their own stadiums - it can only be good for your development, but it is also a brilliant feeling. I think that we've got a really good chance to come through together into the senior team, because Brighton tend to give youngsters a chance.
"We have a good bunch here and I think it's the right club to make it. If we play to our best then I think we have a chance of winning the competition, we definitely have the ability to play at the top.
"We haven't played our best football yet and we have got past two Premiership teams in Chelsea and Blackburn. Once we start playing well we should have a decent shot at it."
