Chester-le-Street and Armthorpe Welfare will meet again in The FA Vase on Tuesday night as both sides aim to book their place in the First Round Proper.

The first tie ended 5-5 after extra-time when they first met on Saturday and now Chester-le-Street will hope to put their disappointing league form behind them and advance into the next round in The Vase.

Chester-le-Street currently find themselves second from bottom of the Northern League Division One, so Stuart Sherwood's team realise the importance of this match and Club secretary Len Lauchlan is certainly hoping the side can take advantage of being at home in the replay.

He said: "We'd like a good run in The Vase for financial support and a home tie in the next round would be nice!"

Lauchlan is also anticipating a big crowd tonight, after an unusually high level of local interest in the tie.

"We're expecting a good crowd, after the 5-5 draw in the first game - we've had people asking us when the replay is," he added.

Otherwise, in a busy night of Vase action, there are still a number of other ties yet to be decided. Tunbridge Wells host Epsom & Ewell after both sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the weekend whilst another interesting tie will be played at Brocstedes Park where Ashton Athletic host Congleton Town.

Ashton, who play in the North West Counties League Division Two, will hope to dispose of Congleton who currently compete in Division One.
