None of Saturday's FA Carlsberg Vase Sixth Round ties was won by the home side. That hasn't happened for 26 years!

Whitley Bay, the 2002 Vase winners, won 1-0 at Hungerford Town at the weekend and Lowestoft Town went through at Concord Rangers with the same score.

Needham Market needed extra time to see off Merstham 3-2 at the latter's Moatside ground and Kirkham & Wesham were held to a 3-3 draw at home by Coventry Sphinx.

The last time that none of the Vase Quarter-Finals was won by the club drawn at home was in 1982.

In that year the four Sixth Round ties finished like this: Willenhall Town 1-2 Forest Green Rovers, Blue Star 1-1 Cheshunt, Irthlingborough Diamonds 1-1 Barton Rovers and Molesey 0-1 Rainworth Miners Welfare.

Forest Green Rovers ended up as Wembley winners.
