There was an unfamiliar extra man in the ground when Erith and Belvedere beat Kingstonian in the London Senior Cup on Wednesday night - Scott Steele.
He is the Guildford City manager, who went to the game in the hope of gaining an advantage for his side ahead of Saturday's FA Vase trip to Erith.
"Overall, I expect a very hard game as it's on their home turf, so we'll see," Steele said.
City are currently lying third in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League, having won seven of their ten games so far this season.
However, they will be hoping to quickly forget last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Colliers Wood United and then recapture the form that enabled them to win their previous five games.
Steele added: "The season has gone really well so far, but we were knocked out of The FA Cup (losing 2-0 to Herne Bay) which was hugely disappointing, so it would be great if we can get a run in The FA Vase."
Erith & Belvedere won their home replay in the last round against Wealden, scoring through John Farley in the closing stages so they will also be looking to embark upon a run in the competition.
They have already had the disappointment of a home defeat in The FA Cup First Qualifying Round - against Maidstone United last month - so they will be hoping to fare better in the Vase. Their main threat is likely to come from striker Nick Smith.
