Winning club receives £20,000
Kirkham & Wesham's super sub, Matt Walwyn, couldn't hide his delight after his late double sealed a memorable FA Carlsberg Vase win for the Lancashire club.
"Words can't describe how I'm feeling right now," said Walwyn after the match.
"To get the equaliser and then score the winner is an unbelievable feeling."
Kirkham & Wesham fell behind to a Phil Thompson own goal after ten minutes, but the introduction of A-Level student Walwyn with just eleven minutes remaining turned the game on its head.
Walwyn's goals, in the 84th minute and injury time, snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and the young striker dedicated the win to his team-mates.
"The whole team deserves this win," he said.
"We've come a long way and it's a great feeling for the team to get this far, play at Wembley and win The Vase.
"Today's goals were the most important goals I've ever scored. It's a great day for the team and the supporters."
But despite his goalscoring heroics at Wembley, it's back down to earth for 17-year-old Walwyn this week.
"Yes, it's back to school on Tuesday!", he laughed.
