The FA Carlsberg Vase
First Round Proper
St. Margaretsbury v Wembley
Saturday 6 October 2007

Despite only taking charge at St. Margaretsbury two weeks into the current campaign manager Lee Judges believes he already has an edge over opponents Wembley going into Saturday's tie.

"I played against them myself - in The FA Cup in 2002 I think it was - and we beat them 4-1 at their home ground, Vale Farm," Judges said.

Judges would be quick to take the same result this time around, but is realistic about Saturday's tie.

"We expect a difficult game. The cup means a great deal to us due to its prestige so I'm looking for a good performance."

He added, "The season is going pretty well so far. We've been getting a big crowd in for home games this year so hopefully that will continue on Saturday."

Bury, as the club likes to be known, scraped through last round with a 4-2 penalties victory over Harwich & Parkeston after neither side had the edge in the previous 120 minutes. They currently sit mid-table in the Molten Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division although they have games in hand over all the teams sitting above them.

Meanwhile, it has been a rollercoaster start to the current campaign for Wembley, who despite suffering heavy defeats at the hands of Bookham and Merstham last month, currently lie fourth in the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division.
