White Hart Lane will host The FA Vase Final on Saturday 14 May.
Vase Final switched
Friday, 11 March 2005.
The FA today announced that the date for the final of The FA Vase, in partnership with Carlsberg, has been changed.
The Final of The FA Vase - one of the most prestigious cup competitions in non-League football which is celebrating its 31st anniversary this season – will now be played at Tottenham Hotspur FC on Saturday 14 May, kick-off at 2pm.
The final was due to have been played on Sunday, 15 May. The decision was made after The Premier League switched the fixtures for the last day of the season from Saturday 14 May to Sunday 15 May, therefore, Tottenham are now required to have the home game with Blackburn played on the Sunday.
The winners of this season’s FA Vase will receive £15,000 in prize money.
The FA Vase, in partnership with Carlsberg is due to return to its ‘spiritual home’ of Wembley in 2006.
The finalists in 2006 will make history when they become among the first sides to run out onto the pitch of the Venue of Legends – and the first to play in the final of The FA Vase at Wembley.
This is the tenth consecutive season that Carlsberg has been The FA’s presenting partner for The FA Vase. It forms an integral part of their support of football in this country.
Carlsberg is also The FA’s presenting partner for The FA Trophy and The FA Sunday Cup, highlighting their commitment to non-League and grassroots football.
