Billericay Town manager Matt Jones would love to be accused of being the new Rafael Benitez ahead of his side's FA Trophy game at King's Lynn this weekend.

Jones also has one eye on a mouthwatering FA Cup First Round tie at home to Swansea City next week, but says he does not have the resources to rotate his squad in the same way that Benitez does at Liverpool.

And he knows he has to guard against his players losing focus on the Trophy game this weekend as they start to dream about knocking a League team out of The FA Cup.

"There is always a concern the team will be thinking about Swansea, because that is the biggest ever game for this club in terms of the quality of the opposition and the stage of the competition," explained Jones.

"But I think the game against King's Lynn should provide the ultimate motivation. If the players don't perform this weekend then they could miss out against Swansea.

"I would love to be able to rotate and be the new Benitez, but I only have 16 or 17 bodies available at the moment."

However, Jones admits that if he was ultimately forced to choose between a win against King's Lynn this weekend or a famous Cup victory over Swansea, it would not take long to make his decision.

"I have to be honest and say I would take a win in The FA Cup," he admits.

"The FA Trophy is a great competition and we could go a lot further in it, but beating a team like Swansea in The FA Cup would be special."
