Kidsgrove Athletic have succesfully appealed to The FA and following careful consideration of the facts have been reinstated in the competition. Gateshead are the club responsible for the ineligible player and have been removed from The FA Trophy as a result.
An FA spokeperson confirmed that the Second Qualifying Round result from 12 November would not stand and Kidsgrove would now go on to face Warrington Town.
The protest by Kidsgrove was dealt with by The FA Trophy Sub-Committee and they came to their decision after considering all the relevant evidence provided by both clubs.
No further action will be taken against Gateshead by the Sub-Committee and no fine be imposed upon them as a result of the matter, although due to the fact that playing a suspended player is a breach of The FA Rules and Regulations will now be referred to The FA Disciplinary Committee for any action they may wish to take.
Kidsgrove take their place in the Third Qualifying round which will be played on Saturday 26 November.
