The 2008-09 FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup begins again when the Preliminary Round kicks off on 21 September.

So far, 131 entries have been received, with all clubs aiming to compete in The Final at Anfield on 26 April 2009.

Current holders, Hetton Lyons Cricket Club will begin their defence in the Second Round, along with last season's runners-up, Coundon Conservative Club. Hetton Lyons CC will be looking to claim their third Sunday Cup in four years.
