Coundon Conservative Club manager, Paul Aldsworth, admits his side's victory over Birmstall Stamford in the Semi-Final of The FA Sunday Cup is still to sink in.
Coundon booked their place in The Final at Anfield after a dramatic 5-4 penalty shoot-out success, with Curt Warburton converting the winning spot-kick.
"We prepared well for the match," he added. "We stayed in a hotel the night before the game, all had breakfast together and had a walk around with our tracksuits on.
" People were coming up to us and asking us what we were doing and who we were. We felt like professionals!
"I gave my team talk in the hotel before the game and when we got to the ground and saw the stewards on the gate and the fans, it made us realise this was a really big deal."
The two sides were deadlocked at 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes, and extra-time couldn't seperate them as the match ended 1-1, leading to a nerve-wracking shoot-out.
"During the penalty shoot-out, the fourth official kept turning round to me and he said 'this is going to kill you'. It nearly did!" added Aldsworth.
"The penalties were at the end of the ground where their fans were and there were about 200 of them.
"They were really giving our lads stick but, at the end, they clapped us off the pitch. That was fantastic of them and a few of our lads were pretty choked up at that reaction."
