Reigning Champions Team USSR will defend their title after finishing on top of the London Hackney regional league, while Tranmere Victoria, who finished as last year's runners-up, are also back following a 100 per cent record during the qualifying stage.

More than 135 teams from around the country have been competing for a place in the tournament at the English Institute of Sport - Sheffield on 8-10 July.

Regional leagues have been held in London, Sheffield, Grimsby, East Riding, the Wirral, York, Pendle, Leeds, Birmingham, Cumbria, Suffolk and Kent.

The final 16 is now being finalised with a host of top teams already securing their spot amongst the country's elite.

Some of the other qualifiers include Santos Futsal Club, Doncaster College for the Deaf, Brasil United and Baltic United.

Vaughans FC qualified from the West London league with five players who have played for the England Futsal team.

Dermot Collins, FA National Development Manager, said: "The qualifying stage has been a huge success with more teams taking part than ever before. This is a sign that the interest in Futsal is growing rapidly.

"There has also been more England Futsal internationals taking part in the qualifiers then ever before.

"We are now looking forward to the Championships with some great teams, both new and experienced, reaching the last 16."

The draw for the Finals will be taking place at The FA's headquarters in Soho Square ahead of the tournament.
