Today's FA Cup Semi-Final draw at Soho Square has thrown up Barnsley v Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion v Portsmouth.

A weekend of shock results, which signalled Cup exits for both of last season's Finalists, has left just one Premiership club in the competition. It is exactly a hundred years since the Semi-Finals have only featured one top-flight side. In 1908 the draw was Newcastle United (Division One) v Fulham (Division Two) and Wolves (Division Two) v Southampton (Southern League).

Portsmouth, those sole Premiership survivors, haven't won The Cup since 1939 - but they were Semi-Finalists in 1992 when Liverpool beat them on penalties. Cardiff last lifted the trophy in 1927, the only time it has left England, and Barnsley haven't done it since 1912.

The Draw:

  1. Barnsley v Cardiff City
  2. West Bromwich Albion v Portsmouth
