Coventry's FA Cup hero Michael Mifsud has polled the most votes in the 'Player of the Round' award after his brace sent the Sky Blues to an incredible Third Round shock victory away to Blackburn Rovers.
Ian Dowie's side traveled to Ewood Park more in hope than expectation as they came up against a side that had made the Semi-Finals of The FA Cup twice in the previous three seasons.
But thanks to Mifsud, and further goals from Dele Adebola and an Elliott Ward penalty, Coventry took a famous scalp and made it through to the Fourth Round at the expense of Mark Hughes' men.
TheFA.com voters have chosen him as their 'Player of the Round' and regardless of how Coventry fare in the rest of the competition, Mifsud will now be guaranteed a place at The FA Cup Final on Saturday 17 May 2008, the second Cup Final at the New Wembley.
Mifsud was up against Oldham's Gary McDonald, Cardiff's Aaron Ramsey, Havant & Waterlooville's Rocky Baptiste and Swansea City's Andy Robinson.
In addition to a place at The Final, Mifsud will also be presented with a trophy along with a kit bag of training equipment which he can donate to a local school of his choice.
