Wayne Rooney is your choice for the 'Player of the Round' award after his powerful performance and two goals against Watford during Manchester United's Semi-Final victory.

Competing with Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan Nelson, Chelsea's Petr Cech and Watford goalscorer Hameur Bouazza, Rooney was the clear choice by you the fans.

Taking almost half of the online vote, Rooney completes the line up for The FA Cup Team of the Season and along with his place at The Final (already secured through United's participation) Rooney gains £500 of football equipment to donate to a local school of his choice, coutesey of competition sponsors E.ON.

Rooney took control of the game at Villa Park with a rocket after just six minutes, and was then influential in creating the second goal for Christiano Ronaldo.

Alan Smith set Wayne Rooney up for his second of the afternoon in the second half as United made sure of their place at the first FA Cup Final at the new Wembley Stadium.
