THE FA CUP PLAYER OF THE ROUND
Exeter City 'keeper Paul Jones dives at the feet of Manchester United's Paul Scholes.
Keep up with the Jones
Thursday, 13 January 2005.
Exeter City goalkeeper Paul Jones leads the way in our poll to find the official FA Cup Player of the Third Round, in partnership with UMBRO.
With nearly half of the votes, 18-year-old Jones, who was in inspired form to help keep Manchester United at bay at Old Trafford on Saturday, heads the goalkeepers' charge. Oldham stopper Les Pogliacomi, who had similar success against United's rivals City, is sitting in second place with 21%.
Only 5% of votes separate the remain three contenders, Sheffield United's Andy Liddell, Yeading's Dave Clarke and Southampton's Kevin Phillips.
However, with the voting open until Monday morning it could still all change before we announce the winner later that day. Whoever ends up at the top of the tree will be crowned The FA Cup Player of the Round and become our seventh member of this year's Team of The FA Cup.
The main man will also be presented with the silver salver and £1,000 worth of UMBRO kit and equipment to be donated to a local school, club or organisation of his choice.
But you, the voter, can become a winner, too.
After making your choice in our poll, which can be found on the homepage, you can also submit you details to us for a chance to win two tickets to The FA Cup Fourth Round match of your choice. You have until 4.00pm on Thursday 13 January to enter.
So get voting and you too could become a part of The FA Cup.
