Cameras from BBC1's Football Focus will be present to show the kick off to this season's FA Cup tournament at Southwood, with live coverage of the kick off and regular highlight and goal updates in the programme (and on Grandstand too).

The start time has been brought forward to 12-30 to accommodate the TV schedules and both clubs are eagerly awaiting the big day. Maidstone were given a taste of the TV limelight on Wednesday when a camera crew visited the town to film articles for inclusion on Saturday's show. This included interviewing Chairman Paul Bowden-Brown, the man who has almost single handedly kept the club alive since their demise from their Football League heydays.

Pieces were filmed at the site of the old London Road ground, which is unfortunately now a retail shopping complex and the best surprise of the day was an unexpected appearance in Kent's county town of the FA Cup itself.

Ramsgate this week announced that ground improvement work has been completed on the roof of their 400 seat stand. Hopefully, the expected attendance of around 500 will go in some small way towards paying for the roof repairs.

Maidstone manager Jim Ward (an ex-Ramsgate manager) has announced that the Stones will be at full strength with no injury worries. The only exception being centre back Steve Coatham who has a family wedding to attend. Stones who have scored 9 goals in their two away league games to date this season will be looking toward 6 goal hitman Richard Sinden to pose the home defence problems.

Stones, who top the league table with a maximum 9 points from 3 league games, will be wary though of the much changed Rams side from last season, which is now heavily reliant on young players from the Thanet area. Rams are currently unbeaten with 7 points from 9 and lie in 4th place in the table. A repeat of last season's 3-3 draw would be a fantastic advertisement for Kent League football.
