Champions Arsenal were worthy winners against United in Cardiff and Giggs insists even the rise of Chelsea won't prevent another Arsenal-United title race in 2005.

He said: "We wanted to win the game, you always want to win against Arsenal, but it wasn't to be. We have to take the plusses out of it and not worry about the scoreline.

"But we know Arsenal will be up at the top again this season. They will definitely be there because they have such quality and they have done it before.

"That's what tips them ahead of Chelsea obviously because they have gone on and won championships. They know what to do and how to handle the pressure when it comes around."

United had seven or eight players missing through injury in Cardiff, including the likes of Wes Brown, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha.

All are expected to be absent again when they play in a Champions Leauge qualifier against Dinamo Bucharest in Romania on Wednesday and possibly even when they take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.

But Giggs is adamant The FA Cup holders can cope.

He said: "You don't really think about it because injuries are part and parcel of football. We have a squad capable of going out and winning in the Champions League on Wednesday and again in the Premiership at Chelsea on Sunday.

"There were a lot of positives to come out of the Community Shield game because a lot of players got 45 minutes under their belts. The real business is on Wednesday now and we have to be ready.

"It could be a tricky game if we don't prepare right and we don't approach the game in the right way, but I'm sure that won't happen. We will be looking to do well and we will be ready."
