A diving header from Danny Shittu was enough to send Millwall through to their fifth FA Cup Semi-Final as they won a nervy Sixth Round replay at Ewood Park.
The two Championship sides again threatened to cancel each other out following their goalless draw in south London at the weekend, but Millwall were just about good value for their narrow win against a Blackburn side that was booed off at the end.
Shittu headed home after 42 minutes from a Chris Taylor corner to secure a Wembley date with Wigan and a shot at a place in The Final in May.
The goal came after a period of Millwall pressure in which they had two penalty shouts turned down by referee Mark Clattenburg.
Blackburn’s best chance probably came in the second half and when Shane Lowry cleared a Leon Best shot off the line.
Rovers tried to shake things up at the start of the second half with Marcus Olsson making way for Nuno Gomes. But the switch did little to change their fortunes and it was Best who had the hosts' best opportunity to equalise.
Goal maker Taylor nearly added a Millwall second at the death when he missed the target from 14 yards.
