Jordi Gomez admits he cannot wait to run out at Wembley after Wigan became the first team to secure their FA Cup Semi-Final place.

The Spanish midfielder played a key part in their impressive 3-0 victory at Everton on Saturday, scoring a classy third goal to ensure the result was almost beyond doubt before half-time.

And Gomez says the entire club are now looking forward to their first ever FA Cup Semi-Final at the world's most famous stadium.

He said: "I hope everyone is happy and we are going to enjoy going to Wembley.

"It's special for everyone at the club, I hope we enjoy it, then play like this in the league for the rest of the season."

And Latics boss Roberto Martinez praised his side after their superb display at Goodison Park.

He added: "I thought the performance was outstanding from the 'keeper all the way through.

"To come to Goodison Park, to be able to score three goals and keep a clean sheet speaks volumes.

"I think we deserve a little bit of credit, we stopped them from being dangerous.

"We knew when to keep the ball, when to go forward, and we looked a real threat every time we got into the final third."
