Kenny Jackett cut a frustrated figure at the Den on Sunday after seeing his side fail to take home advantage in The FA Cup.

His Millwall side hosted Blackburn Rovers for a place in the Semi-Final, but despite enjoying the better of the possession and chances, couldn’t find a winning goal.

And the Lions now face a trip north on Wednesday night for the replay at Ewood Park and another crack at earning a Semi-Final against Wigan Athletic at Wembley.

He said: “I have some frustration because there was a win there for us but goalscoring has been a problem for us in 2013.

“We had an outstanding 2012, but as Sunday showed, when we do get on top of sides, put pressure on them and create chances, we need to score.

“There was no lacking of passion from the players in their display.

“But unfortunately we just couldn’t find the finish. There were a lot of balls into the box, but it either didn’t quite fall for us or we didn’t finish.”

With the replay coming just three days after the first tie and with a Championship clash against local rivals Charlton Athletic next Saturday lunch-time, there’s little time for rest.

But Jackett insists his squad will be ready for the challenge and he anticipates making changes for Wednesday after using no subs on Sunday.

He added: “We will change slightly on Wednesday.

“Our away form has been good so far this season and we’ve been up to Blackburn in the league and won, so both clubs know quite a lot about each other by this stage in the season.

“I’m sure they (Blackburn) will be slight favourites, but we will perhaps change things for some fresh energy.

“From the players’ point of view, it’s their test this week and it is a big test.

“We shouldn’t worry about the extra game, we have a local derby after it on Saturday morning, so it’s a great week to be playing.

“We’re looking forward to Wednesday night now.”
