FA Cup holders Chelsea have set up a mouth-watering quarter final clash against Manchester United after beating Middlesbrough 2-0 in the Fifth Round at the Riverside.
Goals from Fernando Torres and Victor Moses secured victory for Rafael Benitez's side who beat Liverpool in The Final last season.
Chelsea made a string of changes for the tie, including handing young midfielder Nathan Ake his full debut, but they did enough to ease through in the end.
The hosts, however, were no pushovers and were looked the more likely to open the scoring in the first half as they successfully kept their Premier League opponents at bay.
Scott McDonald had the first chance of the game for Championship side Boro in fact before Mustapha Carayol saw a shot saved by Petr Cech and then scrambled clear by John Terry.
The crucial opening goal came six minutes after the break, however, when Ramires's shot deflected off his team-mate Torres to beat goalkeeper Jason Steele and put Chelsea ahead.
That spurred Boro into action again but the arrival of Eden Hazard from the bench was enough to ensure Chelsea clinched the game.
The Belgian midfielder oozed class and came close to extending Chelsea's lead before helping Ramires set up Moses to tap home and seal a trip to Old Trafford in the Sixth Round.
