Leeds United will be looking to claim their fourth Premier League scalp of the campaign when they travel to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to face Manchester City in the Fifth Round of The FA Cup with Budweiser.
The Yorkshire side, who sit in eleventh place in the Championship, eliminated a strong Spurs side in the last round thanks to strikes from Luke Varney and Ross McCormack.
Warnock’s men also produced wins against Everton and Southampton in the League Cup and he feels his side have been the best team in England in domestic cup competitions this season.
He said: "We’ve done brilliant in the cups this year - I don’t think anyone’s done better than us.
"Everton played a strong team, Tottenham played a strong team, we did well against Chelsea for 45 minutes.
"We’ve had a very good [FA] Cup run and shown what ability we’ve got in the squad. This is by far the toughest one - the champions of the Premier League away from home.
"It’s the only competition they’ve got left to win, it’s difficult. But one we’re going to enjoy, no league points at stake, and I’m sure the fans will enjoy going over there."
City host Leeds with The FA Cup providing their most realistic chance to claim silverware this season, and Warnock knows his charges will have to beat pretty long odds to complete a quartet of top flight knockouts.
He added: "When you look at their squad, it’s a fabulous squad.
"According to the bookies we’re 33/2 in a two-horse race! I don’t think many people are going to put money on us. But The FA Cup is such a great competition. It would be a major upset if we went there and won, but it’s one we’re looking forward to.
"We’ve got young players I believe who could play in the Premier League. We’ve got one or two old campaigners who’ll love the atmosphere and what the Etihad will bring. I’m sure with television there they’ll want to perform.
If all the pieces fit on the day, there’s no reason why we wouldn’t give them a good game. We want to go there with a big following and give them a good game."
