Nicky Platt has been voted the latest Budweiser Player of the Round following his hat-trick against near neighbours Salford City.

The FC United of Manchester midfielder’s treble helped Karl Marginson’s side to a narrow 3-2 victory and an FA Cup Third Round Qualifying tie at home to Kendal Town.

Platt topped the public vote ahead of St Albans City’s Sean Shields, Brackley Town’s Tom Winters, Jonte Smith from Metropolitan Police and Tadcaster Albion’s Callum Ward.

Platt will be presented with a commemorative Player of the Round trophy and will be invited to this season’s FA Cup Final as a guest of The FA and Budweiser.
