Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray believes his side will have to beat the best team in the Premier League if they are to get past Sunderland in their FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Round replay at the Riverside.

After a thrilling encounter at the Stadium of Light just over a week ago the two clubs will have to do battle again. The prize on offer is a Fifth Round tie against ten-time winners Arsenal, and Mowbray knows that Sunderland have been in great form of late; since the arrival of boyhood-fan Martin O’Neill the Black Cats have lost just one of their last ten games.

This is in stark contrast to Middlesbrough who have been falling down the Championship table. They have not won any league games in 2012, their only win coming against Shrewsbury in the Third Round of this competition.

A cracking atmosphere is expected at the Riverside and Mowbray is hoping for a big turnout on Wednesday night.

He said: "I'd like to think the people of Teesside will turn out in greater numbers than we get in the league and hopefully this will catch the imagination of the town. Hopefully a good crowd will make the difference."

With Sunderland performing like they are, Mowbray knows his team have it all to do.

"We'll have to put it in perspective. Only a few weeks ago, Sunderland beat Manchester City and beat Swansea, who themselves had beaten Arsenal the week before. Sunderland are a team who are probably the form team in the Premier League at the moment."
