Three more ties in this season's FA Youth Cup Fifth Round are due to be played on Wednesday.

Five of the six clubs involved have appeared in at least one FA Youth Cup Final.

Liverpool, of course, are the holders and now have a chance of becoming the first club to win a hat-trick of titles since the Manchester United "Busby Babes" achieved it in the 1950s.

The Merseysiders have lifted the trophy three times, initially with Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher in the side in 1996. Sunderland, their opponents this week, won it twice in three seasons in the late 1960s.

The "Cities" of Bristol and Manchester clash in one of Wednesday's other ties. Manchester City beat Manchester United in the 1986 Final, more than 18,000 watching the second leg at Maine Road, while Bristol City lost out to Ipswich Town in 1973.

In the other tie Port Vale host Tottenham Hotspur, Youth Cup winners three times - in 1970, 1974 and 1990. Graeme Souness scored the decisive goal against Coventry City in the first of those finals.

Vale don't quite have the same pedigree in the 56-year old competition, but they were in the Fifth Round five seasons ago. They had put out Everton and Chelsea before Tranmere Rovers beat them at Prenton Park.

TheFA.com will have highlights of Bristol City's game with Manchester City. Log on this Thursday to see the action.
