An FA Vase Sub Committee was held on Wednesday 16 September 2009 to investigate the inclusion of Daniel Byford, for Pilkington XXX, in the above tie.
After considering the facts, The Sub Committee decided that Pilkington XXX had breached FA Vase Rule 15(c) by playing a player whilst under suspension, therefore ineligible.
The Sub Committee decided, in accordance with its discretionary powers, that Pilkington XXX be removed from the Competition and Coventry Copsewood reinstated. The prize fund payment is also awarded to Coventry Copsewood.
No order was made as to costs and no fine imposed as removal from the Competition is deemed sufficient punishment.
The FA Carlsberg Vase Second Round Qualifying will now be Dosthill Colts v Coventry Copsewood, on Saturday 19 September 2009.
