Runcorn Linnets scraped past Alsager Town on penalties after their FA Vase Second Round replay finished 2-2 after extra-time.
The Linnets took the lead in the 38th minute when Rob Whyte scored with a volley but the game went to extra-time after Dean Williams equalised for the visitors.
Alsager went ahead a few minutes into extra time through Andy Whitney but were pegged back themselves when Damien Morrison levelled for home side.
In the crucial shoot-out, Runcorn converted all their penalties, but Alsager hit the bar with one of theirs to send Linnets through to a showdown with AFC Fylde in the next round.
In the night's other tie, Hamworthy United comprehensively beat Shrivenham 4-1 and are rewarded for their efforts with a home tie against Hungerford Town.
