The Football League has confirmed that it will stage this season’s Coca-Cola Football League Play-Offs at the new Wembley Stadium. The matches will take place in their traditional slot on bank holiday weekend between 26 and 28 May.

In making the announcement Football League Chairman Lord Mawhinney said: “This is the news for which supporters of League clubs have been waiting. Knowing that that their club could get to play at the new Wembley is sure to provide an extra edge to what is already shaping up to be a very exciting end of season run-in.”

Steve Cumming, Head of Sponsorship for Coca-Cola Great Britain, added: “It is fantastic news that the Coca-Cola Football League Play-Offs are returning to Wembley this year, and I am delighted that Coca-Cola, Coke Zero and Powerade will have the opportunity to enhance the experience for the fans and the players alike.”

Wembley Stadium, Managing Director, Alex Horne said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back the Coca-Cola Football League Play-Offs at the end of May. As the final hurdle in the season-long race for promotion these are exciting and critical matches and we are delighted that they will be returning to Wembley this year.”

Ticket details for all Coca-Cola Play-Off Finals will be announced by The Football League at a later date.
