Appointments made to 2018 bid team

England’s World Cup Bid has been strengthened by two additions to the team.
Jonathan Gregory becomes Director of Partnerships, joining after a five-year stint as Commercial and Marketing Director at Wembley Stadium. Jonathan, who will oversee the Bid’s commercial programme, previously held positions at Puma, Walkers and Coca-Cola.
Jo Vertigan joins the team as Head of Digital and will be responsible for all areas of the England 2018 team’s digital strategy. Previously, as Controller of Sony’s Consumer Electronics Direct Sales channel for the UK and Ireland, he led the largest online sales operation in Europe.
Bid Chief Executive Andy Anson welcomed the appointments: “These are two significant additions to a world class team that is working hard to earn the right to stage a FIFA World Cup tournament.
