The LOCOG Football team will manage and deliver the men’s and women’s Olympic competition as well as the five-a-side and seven-a-side competitions as part of the Paralympic Games.There will be 28 teams participating in the Olympic Football competition comprising 16 men’s and 12 women’s teams. In total, 504 players will compete across 18 days of competition resulting in 58 matches taking place between 25 July 2012 and 11 August 2012. Similarly, there will be 16 teams participating in the Paralympic Football competition, equating to 160 athletes competing across five days of competition to conclude the seven-a-side and five-a-side competitions.Key responsibilities/accountabilities:
