Financial Regulation Officer

The FA are advertising for a Financial Regulation Officer.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for someone who has excellent knowledge and experience of working in a regulatory environment and knowledge of football regulations, especially those relating to Agents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and review disclosures on a timely basis, primarily representation contracts, required by the FA Rules and Regulations in relation to agents and transfers
  • Provide information to the Financial Regulation team to enable appropriate action to be taken where issues arise
  • Ensure Agents adhere to the requirements of FA and FIFA regulations
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements to the monitoring and review process and the regulation of Agents
  • Provide assistance with the investigation of potential breaches of FA/FIFA Regulations.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Excellent organisational skills with experience of managing own workload
  • Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the patience, tact and confidence to liaise with people at all levels within football, including the ability to gather information from potentially difficult situations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work systematically both unsupervised and within the team environment
  • Honest, reliable and consistent
  • Established interpersonal skills
  • Keen interest and good working knowledge of football clubs, league structure, players etc.
  • Sports legal experience or qualification would be useful but not essential
  • Proficiency in one or more major European languages would also be useful but again not essential
