On 22 April, Ghana beat the Ivory Coast 5-0 in a mini 'World Cup' final at Ferndale Sports Centre.
This match proved an enjoyable conclusion to an U11s competition held in conjunction with the Alltogethernow campaign and both finalists have earned the right to watch the England squad train in May.
Through education, participation and working with ethnically-diverse partnerships, this initiative is part of The FA's desire to widen its England football membership.
This is the second of several projects focused towards young footballers in order to address the different needs of black and minority ethnic communities.
Over 100 questionnaires were completed as part of this unique research project in order to find out the barriers and changes needed for football to be more inclusive of ethnic minority communities.
During an enjoyable but intensely competitive day over 150 young people, families and representatives from seven local Lambeth schools as well as a team from Thurrock, took part in a competition organised by Wallace Hermitt, from The FA's Hat-Trick programme.
Ghana were obviously the overall victors and England were eliminated by Tunisia at the quarter-final stage.
The research is facilitated by Jenny Dainton and Koye Sowemimo from The FA's Customer Relations department and Doctor King from the Martin Shaw King Trust.
