Representation in football the focus for Kick It Out conference
Leading administrators in English football will descend on Congress House, London this Monday (21 March) for a conference focusing on increasing diversity in the game.
Led by Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion campaign, the ‘Leading the Way’ conference is the first of its kind and will give aspiring individuals the chance to gain information and advice from well-respected figureheads throughout the game.
Keynote speakers include Trevor Phillips OBE, Head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Lord Herman Ouseley, Paul Elliott MBE and Peter Tatchell before a range of workshops and one-to-one mentoring sessions take place, pairing participants, youngsters from across the country from a range of backgrounds, with industry experts from football’s governing bodies.
Tangible routes into coaching and management, media, refereeing, administration and community development will all be covered before culminating in a panel session.
