Whilst The FA International Course for Referee Instructors meets the needs of a wide range of instructors, over the years we have also enjoyed the participation of Instructors who also have a major responsible for developing referees on behalf of their National Association or Federation.

The needs of this group are often more advanced. For this reason, we conducted an FA Advanced International Course for Referee Instructors which will ran at the same time as The FA International Course for Referee Instructors.

Six places were offered for a Senior Officer or Instructor from the Associations who has achieved a high standard on The FA International Course for Referee Instructors’ and are responsible for making a valuable contribution to developing referees in their respective National Associations.

The Advanced Course was designed to incorporate The FA Learning Tutor Training principles, recognising that learning takes place in a variety of ways, encompassing previous experiences, building on knowledge, creating effective relationships as well as stimulating and motivating people to learn.

This included new ways of delivering training and included practical training sessions on the field of play, with the highlight being an end of course presentation to the International Course

The following Instructors achieved their goal - successful completion of the course and are able to return to their own National Associations to implement development programmes for referees at all levels and helping referees to become better referees.
