The FA's Management Team, working together with The FA Board, Council and staff, aims to deliver an effective and professional organisation for the greater good of English football.
The FA consists of a permanent staff, predominantly based at its headquarters in Soho Square, central London.

The staff are led by the Chief Executive, who works with the Management Team (which is made up of the Divisional heads, listed below), to ensure that the aims and objectives of the organisation are met.
FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Director: Sir Trevor Brooking CBE
Departments: Football Development, National Coaches, FA Learning, Facilities
Roles and responsibilities: The Football Development Division directs its activities towards the growth of football from grassroots to elite and the safeguarding of the game’s future. It aims to increase participation and the quality of football at all levels through learning, improved facility investment and coaching, whilst putting in place the platform to allow all players the opportunity to realise their full potential, whichever level that may be.
GOVERNANCE DIVISION
Director: Jonathan Hall
Departments: Football Administration, Disciplinary, Compliance, Financial Advisory Unit, Leagues, Referees, Registrations and Competitions.
Roles and responsibilities: The Governance Division deals a wide ranging number of regulatory areas (e.g. registrations and compliance) and various football administration aspects of the game (e.g. league and competition administration).
COMMERCIAL DIVISION

Departments: Broadcast and New Media, Sponsorship, Business Development and Marketing
Roles and responsibilities: The Commercial Division aims to maximise The FA's revenue flows, which are channelled back into developing the game. It has responsibility for the Sponsorship, Broadcast and New Media, Business Development and Marketing functions of The FA.
As the names imply, the Sponsorship and Broadcast and New Media teams are responsible for all sales and relationships in these areas, whilst the Business Development function oversees The FA's wide-ranging merchandising and licensing operation as well as opening up new revenue streams. The marketing department provides strategic and general marketing support for the entire organisation, and also manages The FA's design output.
The Director of this division, Jonathan Hill, has a Group responsibility, so the integration of Wembley Stadium's commercial operation also falls under his remit.
COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION
Director: Adrian Bevington
Departments: Press Office, TheFA.com.
Roles and responsibilities: The Communications Division is responsible for all The FA's media and public relations activities, information services and the website. It also operates to promote football at levels, from international through to the grass roots.
OPERATIONS DIVISION

Departments: England Teams Administration, Equipment and Resources, Security, Match day Events, Ticketing, Information Technology, Facilities
Roles and responsibilities: The Operations Division is "The Team behind The Team", running all the logistics (including accommodation, travel, kit and security) behind twelve England teams: Men's, Women's and Youth. The division puts on The FA's showpiece matches: The FA Cup Final and Semi Finals, The FA Community Shield and England's home games. The IT department provides development and support for all FA and County FA staff throughout England, including TheFA.com and County FA websites, CAS (County Administration System), Full-Time (League Administration System) and the Learning Management System. The Facilities department looks after our offices.
CORPORATE AFFAIRS DIVISION
Director: Simon Johnson
Departments: Legal, Equality & Child Protection, Customer Relations and englandfans, International Strategy, Public Affairs and Medicine & Exercise Science
Roles and responsibilities: The Corporate Affairs Division directs the corporate strategy of the FA and aims to improve The FA's service to and relationship with its stakeholders, fans and customers. It leads The FA's relationship with Government, Parliament, Governmental Agencies and NGO's and our International Strategy, working with FIFA, UEFA and other National Associations.
It provides a complete legal and Company Secretarial service to The FA, works to set and improve standards in the safeguarding of children throughout the game and to work with our partners and other agencies to increase equity and diversity at all levels. It also aims to ensure that The FA provides the highest standards of customer service to the public and to the members of the englandfans scheme.
FINANCE DIVISION
Director: Alex Horne
Departments: Finance, Payroll & Expenses, Purchasing and Human Resources
Roles and responsibilities: The Finance Division is responsible for the internal management accounting and reporting; providing external financial reporting and stewardship of assets; commercial input into all levels of the organisation's decision process; and processing of transactions.
The FA’s HR Department aims to develop the capability of the organisation through a culture of high performance. It ensures that the right people are recruited, developed and rewarded, and are thus committed to the long-term future of The FA. The Payroll and Expenses department is responsible for employee benefits, expenses, company cars and insurance.
