Four key positions for the 2018 World Cup Bid are being advertised nationally today: Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Technical Bid and Director of Communications.

Later in the month three more Bid posts will go out to tender: Director of Campaign Operations, Director of Government Liaison and Head of Commercial and Marketing.

The FA has set up a subsidiary company called England 2018 Limited as the vehicle through which the organisation will submit its bid to FIFA. This team will be tasked with achieving the vision of bringing the FIFA World Cup 2018 to England.

An executive recruitment consultant agency will facilitate the appointment process of all the positions above and the full job specifications can be found on a dedicated website: http://england2018.odgers.com/

FA and World Cup Bid Chairman Lord Triesman said: "The Bid team has three overriding objectives: to put together a technical bid which exceeds FIFA's requirements and expectations; to run a campaign that ends up securing the majority of votes on FIFA's Executive Committee and; to illustrate what a World Cup in England will do for the development of football around the globe - in conjunction with FIFA's goal to use the game to create positive change worldwide."

This week Lord Triesman will travel to Trinidad and honour a long-standing invitation to take part in the TTFF's centenary celebrations before flying directly to Zagreb to watch the England team's World Cup Qualifying match against Croatia.

The FA has a well-established, successful and highly-regarded international relations programme with other football federations across the globe. To find out more about what the organisation does abroad please click here
