National Coach Steve Wigley is leaving The FA to join Bolton Wanderers as Assistant Manager but will continue to work with the England Under-21 team.
Wigley joined The FA in the summer of 2007 and has worked with the 17 to 21 age group in close liaison with clubs and academies to develop young English talent.
He has also assisted Stuart Pearce in coaching the England U21 team since the start of 2007. He will continue in this role for forthcoming U21 matches.
Director of Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking said: "We would like to thank Steve for his hard work over the last year building relationships with clubs and academies which contributed significantly to our coach education programme.
"He has worked very closely with Stuart Pearce and we're delighted that he will continue to assist Stuart with the U21 team as they look to secure qualification for next summer's European Championship."
