The FA Board have met to discuss the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer and the process for a review of The Football Association’s structure.
The Board agreed to appoint a sub-committee who will undertake responsibility for preparing a job description for a new Chief Executive. Once this has been approved by The Board, the position will be advertised.
With regard to the review, The Board has agreed to consider a paper at its next meeting outlining the procedure this will take. Discussion will also take place regarding the composition of a steering group to manage the review.
There will be full consultation with all key stakeholders as The Board moves towards ensuring The FA is an effective body to lead English football in the 21st century.
The FA Board will next meet on Thursday 26 August at Soho Square.
