Following the re-election of Sepp Blatter to the office of FIFA President today, The F.A.'s Executive Director David Davies caught up with TheFA.com to give the official reaction to the decision.

"We always said that Blatter was favourite for the election, and we have been proved right.
"We believed a fresh start was needed in FIFA and that the organisation should be reformed. It remains to be seen if the re-elected president can effect those changes."
He added, "We'll be talking with UEFA who shared our view as to what was necessary. What is clear is we have to work with the European football family to build a new relationship with FIFA, though of course any relationship requires a commitment from both sides."
"In the conference over the last couple of days, Blatter reassured the majority of national associations who are receiving financial assistance from FIFA that assistance would still be forthcoming despite financial cuts that will have to be made in the years to come.
"We have real concerns about where the money will come from," he said. "But we are democrats, he has been re-elected and we accept that."
"And good news from our point of view is that David Will's Internal Audit Committee will carry on its work looking into finances within FIFA. This at times had looked to be in doubt."
