A true English great. The word "legend" is often over used but in Sir Bobby's case the word doesn't do justice to what a great man he was. A true gentleman who'll be sorely missed. The world is now a darker presence without his light to brighten it up. RIP Sir Bobby - God bless x

Absolute legend of a man, one of the best, if not THE best English manager of all time. If the England players now put in just 1% of his enthusiasm to football then the World Cup will come home where it belongs. I hope the lads can win it for Sir Bobby and all the England legends who've unfortunately passed away. R.I.P Sir Bobby

I had quite a few passings with Sir Bobby whilst working as a 17 year old apprentice during the time Portman Road was being re-constructed around 1977. He would always speak and you genuinely gave him a response because he was just so well respected. I remember working near the changing rooms and he was giving a talk to his players before travelling for an away game. We couldn't make too-much noise but it lasted nearly 1.45mins! I had one day gotten my tools ready to work and he passed and reminded me to be good and enjoy my day! I laughed and said: I always am Mr Robson... He chuckled and that was so very much the man I really remember, always interested and always genuine.
Kevan Gosnell
Sir Bobby was one of the true men in English football. He deserves a special place for all to view at the home of English football. I value him as the best English manager, along with Sir Alf Ramsey, of all time. The first I remember him was in the World Cup of 1990. I feel so sad that he never won the World Cup as this is what he deserved (both in 1986 & 1990). We will remember you forever as the top true man in English football. Thank you for your gift to English football and to a true English footballer. RIP

I never had the pleasure of actually meeting Bobby, but, like so many others, I felt that I knew him. It was my privilege to see him play, during his last five years at Fulham, and I was thrilled to go to watch his Ipswich Town team, in both League and FA Cup matches, on many occasions. Bobby was one of those people you instinctively knew that you could trust. May he rest in peace.
