A part time vacancy has arisen in the Referee Department for a Regional Referee Coach. (Ref: RRC/GOV/08)
The successful Coach will be responsible for the implementation of the Football Associations strategy and action plan in relation to developing and delivering excellence in refereeing at Contributory League level.
This role covers the following regions: Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Northamptonshire.
The Regional Referee Coach will be required to coach, mentor and develop referees to ensure consistent high standards of performance commensurate with the aims of the Football Association. The Regional Referee coach will have responsibility for managing a group of referees within the framework of an integrated performance management system. Main responsibilities will include:
• Implementing an action plan that ensures consistency of approach and quality of performance are benchmarks of an effective programme of training and education for referees.
• Being accountable for the coaching, mentoring and development of the referees within their group.
• Promoting The Football Association and its strategy for enhancing the game through developing and delivering excellence in refereeing.
It is essential that candidates for this position must have refereed at Contributory League level or above. Candidates must also possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills which are also crucial to this role.
Due to the requirements of this role, successful applicants will undergo a screening process that will include an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
