Middlesex County Football Association wishes to recruit a Referee Development Officer on, initially, a one year contract which may be renewable if funding can be secured.
The successful candidate will form part of the County’s Development Team and will report to the Chief Executive, Peter Clayton, through the County Development Manager, Stuart Allen.
The post will be for 25 hours per week at a salary of £15,750 (£22,050 pro rata).
It is expected that the successful candidate will work many of those hours at weekends and in the evening supporting Middlesex referees although some time will spent at the headquarters where office facilities and administration support will be available.
The key tasks for the post are:
- To assist in the delivery of the Middlesex County FA Development Plan.
- To provide practical advice and direction on referee recruitment and retention.
- To manage the Middlesex Referees’ Academy.
- To work with the Association’s Committees to implement agreed development policy and procedures.
- To promote and help develop the Association’s coaching programme.
- To develop a programme of education, in-service training and support for Middlesex referees.
- To develop a programme of in-service training for referee assessors, mentors and examiners.
- To be the course tutor for referee training courses as appropriate.
- To assist in the implementation of the FA Charter for Quality initiatives within the County.
