The group is being established to advise the FA’s Development Department on race equality and the involvement of ethnic minorities in football and is designed to replace the Asians in Football Working Party.

Lucy Faulkner, The FA’s Ethics and Sports Equity Manager, says that they are aware of the need to understand the impact of decisions made on people in all sectors of our society, according to their circumstances.

“We want to ensure that the needs of ethnic minorities are met in football development, and to agree plans that will achieve our targets to increase representation,” she adds.

“The group will provide advice and guidance on the implementation of the development strategy, and will reflect not only the diversity of minority ethnic communities, but of the wider community as well.”

The advisory group, which is on a voluntary basis, will reflect all those agencies and individuals that can provide best advice on the involvement of minority ethnic communities in football development.

Applications need to be received by Friday October 22nd. To receive an application pack please e-mail footballforall@TheFA.com
