The conference, being held at Bradford City’s stadium tomorrow (Tuesday 7 December) will underline The FA’s opposition to racism in all its forms as well as showcase grassroots work in minority ethnic communities and highlight the support and funding that is available.

Mr. Caborn’s full message of support reads:

"There is no place for racism in football - or modern society. As recent events have shown, we cannot be complacent.

"Therefore, The FA's Football for All conference comes at a crucial time, and its importance should not be underestimated. It is an opportunity to demonstrate what football has done to make itself more representative of the wider community, and move forward and make further progress.

"I fully support The FA in making every effort to encourage the growth of diversity in football. The Conference will provide the opportunity for everyone involved in football to share examples of good practice - I hope that other sports can continue to benefit from the experiences of football."

The conference is being hosted by ITV’s Robbie Earle. Amongst the speakers are:

Jonathan Hall, Director of Governance at The FA
Trevor Phillips, Chair, Commission for Racial Equality
David James, Manchester City and England

Former leading players Garth Crooks and Paul Elliott – both of whom are deeply involved in combating racism – will also be addressing the conference along with representatives of the grassroots game.
