West Ham United and Manchester City have submitted claims for wrongful dismissal in relation to the sendings-off yesterday of Paul Konchesky and Joey Barton respectively.

The two players will therefore be allowed to play on Boxing Day.

The clubs are required to provide the necessary submissions for the appeals on Wednesday and the cases will be heard by a Disciplinary Commission on Thursday.
