The FA has today charged West Ham United FC for a breach of FA Rule E22 for incidents around the Championship match away at Millwall on 21 November 2004.

The charge concerns the clubs failure to ensure that its spectators and/or persons purporting to be its supporters or followers conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from threatening and/or violent and/or provocative behaviour:
a. in or around 18th minute of the match; and/or
b. following on from the conclusion of the match; and/or
c. generally throughout the course of the fixture.
The Club have until 10 January 2005 to respond.
FA Rule E22 - General Behaviour A Each Affiliated Association, Competition and Club shall be responsible for ensuring: (a) that its directors, players, officials, employees, servants, representatives, spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and refrain from any one or combination of the following: racist, violent, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language whilst attending at or taking part in a Match in which it is involved, whether on its own ground or elsewhere;
and (b) that no spectators or unauthorised persons are permitted to encroach onto the pitch area, save for reasons of crowd safety, or to throw missiles, bottles or other potentially harmful or dangerous objects at or on to the pitch. |
