The appeal board decided that Cole's original two match suspension for abusive and/or insulting words to a match official will be reduced to one match to commence immediately.

 

The board also removed the suspension imposed for excessive violent conduct and associated costs.

 

Cole's fine of £10,000 remains in place.


FA Rule E3 - General Behaviour
A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.
