Scholes has today received a three match ban at an FA Disciplinary Hearing, and will begin his suspension forthwith. He had pleaded guilty to a charge of violent conduct.

This relates to the FA Premier League match between Manchester United and Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on 11th February 2004.
